Road trip: day 1
Short day today. Drove for a whopping 3 hours to just past Kingston. Staying the night at Greg's parents' house. We're hoping to get up early and be on the road by 7am. Hahaha. Not likely (for people that know Greg!!)
Finn and Spencer loved the new DVD player, and were thrilled to watch Toy Story after napping. After supper, I took the boys down to the water front in the backyard. Both daredevils/rock climbers enjoyed the terrain. Me, not so much. I really didn't want to have to jump in the water after them!
Just a few pictures from today.
The boys with our travelling companion; Paddington. We're hoping to start a new family tradition of bringing him along with us for vacations.

What the heck is wrong with this country?
I don't get it. As much as I love being a Canadian and living in Canada, we are a nation of push-overs.
It just doesn't make sense to me that a convicted terrorist who was ordered to be deported in 1988 is still living here, but the college-graduate whom we'd like to hire as a nanny for our two boys may be denied a work permit due to the fact that she hasn't worked full-time for 1 year as a caregiver. I don't get it.

Vote for Spencer (only if you want to)
I've entered Spencer in to a local photo contest. He's not doing very well in the vote department. If you want to go and help him out, please feel free. However, it's one of those annoying sites that requires you to register in order to vote. You can opt out of receiving emails from them, but if you don't want to sign-up, then I completely understand!
Here's the picture I've entered, so scroll down and down and down until you find him! Click here if you're game!
